In 1999, a group of people traveled to Bhutan under the facilitation of
H.E. Khempo Yurmed Tinly Rinpoche and ODN. They were deeply affected by
this journey into Buddhism, beauty, purity and energy. The group came back
with few words to convey their experience, as words did not seem to do
justice to the experience. The trip seemed simply to change our perception
of the world, and imbued us with a fondness, and respect for this Buddhist
nation.
Over the past year, Khempo Rinpoche had worked very hard with the
government of Bhutan to gain approval for several projects that ODN
wanted to initiate in Bhutan. It seems poignant that just recently,
ODN received official approval for every one of Khempo Rinpoche's
suggested Bhutan projects. ODN is committed to advancing these
